    Introducing, The Elder Scrolls Online

Bethesda Softworks is taking The Elder Scrolls online. The game maker announced last week that it is developing a massively multiplayer online (MMO) version of its popular franchise. The Elder Scrolls Online is in development at ZeniMax Online Studios under the direction of director Matt Firor. It will be available on PCs and Macs sometime next year.

Bethesda promised more information about the MMO in the June issue of Game Informer. In a preview, the magazine said "players will discover an entirely new chapter of Elder Scrolls history in this ambitious world, set a millennium before the events of Skyrim as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm." Introductory video after the break.

    Firor had this to say:

We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted. It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.

Skyrim: In Game Books Now Available on Mobile Readers

The beauty of the Elder Scroll's franchise is apparent just by looking at each of the games when they first launched. But by looking past the fancy graphics of games like Skyrim and before it, Oblivion, even all the way back to Morrowind, there is a wealth of lore and knowledge that almost serves no other purpose than to just create a believble, content-rich world. The Books of the Elder Scrolls franchise have always been an awesome way to explore the history of the world we love to play in. Skyrim is no different, and with the current entry into the saga of Tamriel unfolds, the trove of tomes available in game is staggering. I myself, who normally sits and reads every book I stumble on whilst inside a dungeon, have actually skipped doing so in order to get to killing as many dragons as fast as possible. However my dreams have come true, and every single piece of literature available in game has been ported to mobile reading devices. Head over to Capane.us for the files, grab your cosplay gear, and read "The Lusty Argonian Maid Vol. 2" in real life.

    Skyrim Patch Incoming

Current estimate is [the patches] will be live the week after [Thanksgiving].

Skyrim has captivated the minds of most gamers for the past week and a half, yet the massive free roaming RPG does have some problems. There are glitches, and bugs in the game that are compromising the beauty in some areas and the playability in others. But Bethesda has been watching and listening to all the feedback and the first big patch is on its way! The Patch for all platforms is being verified and should be out next week.

While the bugs are mostly minor, everyone is interested in the aftermath of the Patch, hopefully they don't fix the Giant's Hulk smash that shoots you a mile into the sky, that one made me laugh every time..

    Bethesda's Skyrim - Review

"Bethesda hits another target with Skyrim."

With all games of this nature, it takes time to build a fair and conclusive review. With over 300 hours of gameplay, not including a quest generation system which will keep you busy long after you finish with the main storylines in the game, Skyrim is not short on content. I have spent several hours in Skyrim and have been extremely satisfied thus far. Skyrim is a great continuation of the Elder Scrolls series, bringing the best of each series and tieing them together in a cohesive and engrossing RPG.
