Skyrim: In Game Books Now Available on Mobile Readers

The beauty of the Elder Scroll's franchise is apparent just by looking at each of the games when they first launched. But by looking past the fancy graphics of games like Skyrim and before it, Oblivion, even all the way back to Morrowind, there is a wealth of lore and knowledge that almost serves no other purpose than to just create a believble, content-rich world. The Books of the Elder Scrolls franchise have always been an awesome way to explore the history of the world we love to play in. Skyrim is no different, and with the current entry into the saga of Tamriel unfolds, the trove of tomes available in game is staggering. I myself, who normally sits and reads every book I stumble on whilst inside a dungeon, have actually skipped doing so in order to get to killing as many dragons as fast as possible. However my dreams have come true, and every single piece of literature available in game has been ported to mobile reading devices. Head over to Capane.us for the files, grab your cosplay gear, and read "The Lusty Argonian Maid Vol. 2" in real life.

    Diablo III For Consoles

It would seem that Blizzard is mulling over the idea of porting Diablo III to consoles. This would be a huge change for Blizzard and for the gaming community as a whole. Diablo is thought of as a computer game. How would it play on consoles? Would this be a serious profit increase for Blizzard? Would this be the beginning of a whole new fan base for Diablo? Only time can tell what this move brings, but it's safe to say that the rewards could be great from this move. Even considering making Diablo III a console title is a step forward for Blizzard as a whole. The idea of plaing Diablo on Xbox Live is odd to me, because I've been playing Diablo since it's first run, but I'm excited to see if this works out in your (The gamer's) favor.

    Bethesda's Skyrim - Review

"Bethesda hits another target with Skyrim."

With all games of this nature, it takes time to build a fair and conclusive review. With over 300 hours of gameplay, not including a quest generation system which will keep you busy long after you finish with the main storylines in the game, Skyrim is not short on content. I have spent several hours in Skyrim and have been extremely satisfied thus far. Skyrim is a great continuation of the Elder Scrolls series, bringing the best of each series and tieing them together in a cohesive and engrossing RPG.

    Review: Battlefield 3

On Monday October 24 I waited in line for EA and Dice’s Battlefield 3 to launch. I was on the fence on this game, sure it looked amazing, the beta was fun albeit full of problems, and I wasn’t sure if I would want to start a game with Skyrim only a few weeks away. But I was convinced by a friend and fellow writer Jon Jacobson who had already pre-ordered and was heading over to wait in line. So I said “what the heck I’ll do it” and we were off to the nearest GameStop to await the highly anticipated Battlefield 3. After I put the disk in, and started to play, I was not disappointed. Ill start on the one part of the game that no one else seemed to like…

Netflix subscribers in the US dropped by 800k in Q3.

All the changes Netflix has made this past year have really upset some subscribers, and the numbers are proving it. 21.45 million subscribers are still streaming but an 800,000 member drop isn't a small one. Netflix made some controversial price changes this year along with a few other things that left members steaming. Hopefully, for Netflix's sake, we see some changes to reverse what they have done in the near future.

    Battlefield 3 Beta Opens Today!!

The Battlefield 3 beta opens today for those who pre-ordered the PC game through Origin, EA's digital distribution platform, and for those who purchased the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor.  Josh Will have a full review of this beta on our next podcast.

Keys, granting access to the beta, will be sent out by EA from early afternoon onwards.

Gustav Halling, gameplay designer, had this to say:

Please don't ask about 'when do I get my email' etc.  We don't know, this is an automated system that sends a bunch out every hour starting around lunch today."

Keys will be sent out from "around 1pm-3pm CET on PC and Xbox 360," said Battlefield community manager Daniel Matros (12pm-2pm in the UK).

If you don't have a code, you'll have to patiently wait for Thursday, 29 September, when the beta will go public. The beta will feature the map Operation Metro, and it will close on October 10.

Battlefield 3 is out on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 25 in the US and October 28 in the UK.
