Todd Howard and Notch talk games

No topic is left untouched, from Oblivion speed runs, to minecraft for the iPhone, and even the mention of a Skyrim reboot into the minecraft world. Notch also talked about what the final objective of Minecraft might be when it launches on 11/11/11 the same day as Bethesda's Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Halo: Combat Evolved, is now Halo: Combat RE-volved

Halo:CE. If there was ever a game that changed my life, and the gaming industry in one console/game bundle, it was Bungie's Halo: Combat evolved. That game turned me into the gamer I am today, and im sure it has had similar effects on many other players around the world. The stunning graphics, intense FPS action, and the ability to go head to head with your friend on maps like Blood Gultch, made Gamers buy Microsoft's newly released Xbox just so they could play Halo. If I remember correctly it was either Halo: CE or Fuzion Frenzy included in the bundle, good thing Halo turned out to be one of the highest grossing franchises in Xbox history. Last year saw the launch of the prequal to the Halo trilogy entitled: Reach, and when those credits rolled I couldnt help but feel sad knowing that I wouldnt be bashing Grunts with my BR any time soon. And then news starting trickling in of a reboot of the game that started it all, a new and improved game for the Xbox 360. Information is spotty at this point but developers are talking about the ability to switch between the orginal graphics of the game, to the new and improved HD graphics only possible on the Xbox 360, also there is talk of certain interactive, hidden terminals that were supposed to be featured in Halo 3. (astute Halo geeks may recall their supposed function to fill in the backstory of the franchise, but they were never implemented in game) The new function of these terminals will be to leak spoilers to a supposed Halo 4.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Last week at E3 Bethesda's Skyrim was turning some heads. This expansive new addition to the Elder Scrolls franchise, which includes titles like Oblivion (xbox360) and Morrowwind (xbox), is exciting players around the world. The Gameplay shown here includes commentary by Todd Howard, the creative genius behind Fallout 3, and Oblivion. New features of Skyrim include a new HUD, 3d maps, and the ability to control both of the characters arms by utilizing the Xbox's Bumpers, as well as those on the PS3. I wont ruin any more of the surprise, but be prepared to get blown away. The game launches 11/11/11 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC

Microsoft leaked its E3 2011 announcements hours before show?

It would appear that Microsoft got a little happy-go-lucky with their script editor and published a list that was no doubt supposed to be put up AFTER the show, before it.  So here is the leaked press conference review for all to see.
